Mia Tensley


Mia currently serves as the Chair of Friends of Clemson Area African American Museum.

Mia Tensley, a local resident, is an instructor at TriCounty Technical College in Pendleton, South Carolina.

Since 2017, TCTC has selected Tensley to present on High Impact Practices (HIPS) topics. Tensley, was TriCounty Technical College’s 2019 South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) Faculty Educator of the Year.

In 2019 she served as TriCounty Technical College’s Faculty Senate President. In 2020, she presented a webinar on “Supporting Students with Learning Disabilities” For the South Carolina Technical System. She has been tapped to present at SCTEA at the annual conference in February of 2021.

In 2019, Tensley graduated from the city of Clemson’s leadership program and was elected to the Leadership Clemson Alumni board in 2020. She also partners with local groups like the Green Crescent Trail and Littlejohn Community Center.

Mia is a member of Alive Wesleyan Church. She and her husband, Demetrick, have three children, Caleb, 18; Hannah, 15; and Chloe, 9.
